Rock gardens

Rock garden is a special part of the Botanical Garden, of exceptional importance, because it is a very valuable collection of wild plants, that is, representatives of the Serbian flora, which are cultivated on it.
Today we call roock garden " Alpinetum" , which is often used in horticulture as the name for hills made for the cultivation of primarily mountain plants. However, the first alpinets began to be built in botanical gardens only in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Nowadays, we can find rock garden with mountain plants in almost all larger gardens and gardens.
